This is me

I am Professor in Biomedical Science at the Department of Biomedical Science in the Faculty of Health and Society of Malmö University in Sweden.

I am original from San Cristóbal, Venezuela. I have a Bachelor in Chemistry at the University Simón Bolivar in Caracas, Venezuela. I received her PhD in Physical Chemistry at Lund University in 2005.

After a short postdoc stay at Malmö University, I secured a tenure track position at the Department of Chemistry in the University of Copenhagen in 2009. I then became Associate Professor in 2011 and in the period 2014-2016 I held a double position between University of Copenhagen and Malmö University. In 2017 I moved my research activities fully to Malmö University.

My interest covers relations between structure/function and composition of biological interfaces and biological colloids.

I am a deputy chairman of the steering committee for the Swedish Neutron Scattering Society (SNSS) and the Swedish Royal Society for the division in Colloid and Material Chemistry
